Delicate Pain
08:19
|
|||
Oh what delicate pain
we must surely know
if ever our porcelain pleasure grows pink
We have licked the liquid essence of ecstasy
from newly dribbled dew-lap forests
and dreamed slow dreams amonst
lush groves of luxury, lions and lily cloves
We have felt the sun
go rolling on
and laughing
we fell in the feathery dawn
to taste the silver gown
and silken wings
of the queen of cream
We have lived in the wind
on our way to the end
in a slippery ship
down the last lovers' drain
and with pulsing lip
may we land in the wet sand again and again and again
Maybe then,
when life's fertile gloom
flows moaning from the dressing room
we'll see the brilliant machine
and scream and cry
and try to clean
the ancient crimson stains
from our wedding sheets
and window frames...

Retrograde Motif
07:26
|
|||
Ecology faultery in drying up the senses
intuition speaks of friction...
Crippled up, trip-led up
in trying to maintain it
impeccable persona's
how you frame it
Darkman dreams
and colored schemes
shocking means
and troubled fiends
Hold them hostage
steal from their shelf
Entice a vice
and watch them steal from themselves...
Vanish into the water at will
I will endure
I will fill
She shall not be turned away
Tarnish and varnish the will-
I will not sway
I will not sway
'Cause my sealskin soulskin
is thickest in the heart
of a world that is hardened
Our story's greatest glory
is the soul accepts the pardon
Captured constrained condition
Rapture remained ambition...
Returning to the wild contains a retrograde motif
returning may you smile - deepens brilliant waters' reef....
Returning to the wild contains a retrograde motif
returning may you smile - deepens brilliant waters' reef....

The Price
07:14
|
|||
So the price we must pay
for the sins of my lips
are those eyes
Those tile on the bottom
of cold pool
on a summers day eyes...
For just as a bleach white
second hand bride
can feel so new
or the tired rubber tire
will swerve to express
it's inner tubes gratitude...
So might those sweet
cerulean eyes
so easily
secretly
slip along
slender lies
through any one
of the growing holes
in my sub-conscious soul....

Western Mile
09:55
|
|||
I can remember the water
and stall the slaughter
while somebody prays for snow
But the humanoid breeds
while the paranoid bleeds
in the elephant grave below
There were beautiful scars
where the run away stars
had sliced the face of the night
But the silver tonged lizard
made a deal with the wizard
that banned the confusion from sight
The American dream
was a family machine
with a world to go around it
But the hurricane leaks
and the telephone speaks
to your cake before you pound it
So all the loud mouth mothers
with imaginary brothers
can draw their own conclusions
While the riverbed cries
for the skeleton skies
in the canyon of illusion
Now I've dragged my smile
for a Western Mile
to crouch beside the fire
And I'm goin' on in
with intent to begin
the coiling of the wire...

The Caps
08:09
|
|||
The facts are not the knack in posting rules upon the wall
take your think and you shall see it all
from here to hear the cheer in the rear
a Soul Shack
seeking in vain the upper deck in strain
Echelon, you will etch along
you seek, and in this weakness
you and I, we are the same
maimed by the power in the privileged pilgrimage...
Sought and bought and though about it for a gain
lodge your dodge, dislodge and hodge podge
any camoflage in pressing pieces with might
you still fight
you kite insight
'cause the Caps
of a paced race a chased case
the Caps of a paces race a chased case
'cause you is what you is and I am just the same
playin' back and forth in this human game...
Support of contort or file a report and complain
the human race can sure-fly be a stain
inhumane, oh so vain, a surplus gain-
On the shoulders is a boulder or the holdings on
and the grasping and the wanting of the somethings gone
and isn't bought, isn't taught, isn't got
it's found to be forth coming...
found to be forth coming...
it's found to be forth coming
in a sacred song....
'cause the Caps
of a paced race a chased case
the Caps of a paces race a chased case
'cause you is what you is and I am just the same
playin' back and forth in this human game...
